Graduation is an important time, and with today’s economy many girls and their parents can’t afford to buy their photos, tickets, and their outfits.

 

The Princess Project is working hard to help by trying to ensure they get an outfit that makes them feel like a princess, at little or no cost.

Student must be referred by a Teacher, Counsillor, Social Worker, Principal, Vice-principal or other school Authorities.

The event for the Grads of 2012 was successfully held on March 11th, 2012 and referrals for the class of 2013 will begin in November 2012.

Fundraising Event – Dress Sale by donations- One day ONLY

We are having a fund raising event and thanks to the generous donations we will have new short party dresses, new and previously loved long dresses for all ages of women(great for formal events, weddings, Grad etc), and also a large selection of beautiful Wedding Dresses. We are asking for a minimum donation of $5 for the short, $10 for the long, and $50 for the Wedding dresses – but you are always welcome to support us with more. It will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church at 11040 River Road in Delta, BC on Saturday May 12, 2012 from 930am to 300pm – no early birds or pre-sales. It will be a cash only event and although we will have some change rooms, we recommend you come dresses to try on in a “group” setting.

We are raising money to help support our event. We are working on adding the fella’s to our event, but the cost for them is around $300 per student. We are now starting our 4th year of this event and with all of the help and support we have been able to help over  281 students in 3 years. Please come to our event and help us out and get great deals on dresses. We look forward to seeing you, your friends, and family there.

Can you Spare a Pair for a great cause?

In your closet there is that pair (or two) of shoes that you bought but either haven’t worn, or wore once and they hurt your feet. We are giving you a chance to free up some of your closet space by donating them to The Princess Project. Perhaps you think that one or two pairs of shoes is hardly enough, but it is huge to us. Just think, if each of your friends, colleagues at work, or your club, group, or family donated one pair each….it soon adds up to a lot. We are looking for everything from flats to heels that the students can wear to their Graduation Dinner and Dance.
So tell me, can you “Spare a Pair”?
Donations accepted at any time at 19119 68 Avenue – there is a closet on the porch to leave them in.

We will begin accepting application for the Class of 2012 on November 7th

Don’t forget to tell your students, Grad Councils, PAC Groups, and friends and family about our Short dress and Suit Sale on Saturday November 5th at the Kennedy Recreation Center at 88th and 118th in North Delta.
We have Suits, Tuxes, mix and match pieces, shirts, ties and other items for the Male students.
Don’t forget about those other Grad events, pictures, job interviews, and those Exit interviews as well.
This will be the only opportunity for our Male students this year. We are working on incorporating them into the Gala event as soon as possible, but it will not be in time for the 2012 class.
This sale is open to the public and no referral is needed. It is a one-day only event.

Short dress and suit sale

Our short dress and suit sale is Saturday November 5th from 11 am to 3pm at the Kennedy Seniors Recreation Center at 11780 88th Ave in North Delta, and is open to the public.
All proceeds to the  Kennedy Center and The Princess Project.
